Join Kendall from Klayhouse Ceramics for a hand-building workshop on October 20, 2022 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Hosted by Fennel House Studio. Doors open 15 minutes before the workshop and close 5 minutes after we begin.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of hand building, including slab and coil techniques to create a planter for your favorite plant baby. In addition to building techniques, surface design such as sgraffito, stamping, and in-lay will be taught and used to add design onto your pieces. We recommend you bring your own sketches or print outs of your favorite motifs, foraged plants from your yard, patterns and images to start your process!

You'll be making one medium sized planter. You will be able to choose if you want to create a table top planter or a hanging planter. I will demonstrate a watercolor technique to paint your pot or you can choose one of our house glazes for your final touches.

Your pots will be ready for pickup 15-20 days after the workshop. Materials including clay, tools, glaze, and firing is included in the workshop tuition. Beer or hard cider & personal sized pizza from With Flour in Her Hair  are available as add ons.
